It is used as a pesticide, as in Maxforce Quickbayt by Bayer, luring males to traps to prevent them from reproducing.

This product can be used as an attractant for flies and other insect.

When used in combination with insecticide, it will significantly improve the efficiency of insecticide and effectively reduce the use of insecticide.
